It’s a NEW YEAR! I can hardly believe that 2021 is already here! So let me dive right in...
LOOKING BACK ON EVERYTHING
At the end of December, I was talking with God about 2020 and the things that happened. Everyone can agree that 2020 was one for the books, but I took the last few days of the year to reflect on all the good that came out of it. I can see things NOW that I couldn't necessarily see in the moment. God provided for me, my family and the ministry consistently, He answered many prayers, He kept speaking and moving in the middle of what felt like chaos at times. He was faithful and constant, He gave and He took away, He showed us new ideas and visions for the future. I find it funny that in the middle of what you are facing, you can get almost blind to what good things are happening. I believe this is when depending on God more comes into play.
My personal relationship with God is blossoming in a new, spectacular way. God makes everything beautiful in His time!. 2020 was CHALLENGING, being in the mission field and doing ministry. But without going through all of 2020, I would not be the woman I am today and am thankful!
REFRESHMENT IN THE USA
My family and I recently came back from America and what an INCREDIBLE trip it was! We traveled all up and down the East Coast visiting family, friends and amazing churches that partner with Camp. I started the trip out standing in a wedding of some of my greatest friends that serve here each summer, Anna and Zach Shotton! Then, I had the privilege of sharing about Camp and spending some weeks visiting Thomas Road Baptist Church, Nags Head Church, Genesis Church, and Vous Church. We saw a lot of people that mean so much to our life here in Eleuthera. We celebrated all the people God has in our life through the holidays and it was the biggest blessing ever!
2021: A NEW YEAR, A NEW START.
At the beginning of every year, I ask God for a word for my year. 2021 is all about TRUST.
I know that He has BIG things planned beyond what I can see. Stepping out in faith, being obedient and living in surrender is what living for Jesus is all about.
January has brought two mission teams already filling up camp with laughter, friendship, hammering and all the beautiful sounds that mean Camp is open! There are still families, churches, schools and organizations out there who have been able to work through all the Covid red tape and commit to partnering with this ministry. We pray God will continue to bring the right people at the right time to use Camp Bahamas as a place of HOPE!
None of us may know what God has in store but I can tell you that I am beyond excited and ready for what the 12 months of 2021 will bring into my life and what could happen!
