My Favorite SZN: Summer

RETREAT SZN: MARCH & APRIL

Entering the month of March, we host local retreats. This is a different, yet fun pace for me as I come out of a busy few months of missions to now hosting people from different Bahamian islands.

We ended retreat season with an incredible mission team from Melbourne, Florida in May. It was an 8th grade class from Calvary Christian Academy who I loved getting to know. They were able to help prepare projects for June mission teams.

SUMMER PREP:

The camp office gets more of my attention as Summer Camp approaches. Brainstorming for the summer camp schedule, communicating with summer staff, and seeing that Camp Bahamas facilities are ready for our hundreds of campers. All of CBM gets a little TLC and I love helping make things better!

I even squeezed in a quick trip to see to watch my little sister Ella, who most of you know and LOVE, graduate highschool with an Assosiates in Business from Liberty University! I am so proud of her!

JUNE: SUMMER IS HERE

Just like that, summer has arrived. I started my summer with my 23rd birthday on June 2, which was the same day we had our eight amazing missions interns arrive from the US. Our interns for this month are an absolute blessing to this ministry. It has been amazing to be able to get to know each of them, disciple them and pour into them.

June is a month FILLED with so many people and mission teams from all over the states: North Carolina, Arizona, Virginia, Illinois, and Florida. Our mission teams have been a huge help preparing Camp for summer camp! I have seen so many things get accomplished and the team work this year has been seamless.

CAMP IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

I can't begin to explain how EXCITED I am that camp is starting in just a few days from now! We have been preparing our hearts, organizing all the details, and praying for lives to be changed by the power of Jesus. I know that “The Best Is Yet To Come” and I can't wait to share it with you!

Prayer Challenge

1. Summer Camp - Pray that Camp impacts The Bahamas and the youth of this nation like never before. Pray for safety. Pray for the lives of those who enter these gates to be transformed. Pray for deliverance. Pray for wisdom. Pray for our counselors as they are preparing for a month of loving on our campers.

2. The CB Team - Vision for Summer 23, with the wisdom, strength and integrity to do everything with excellence for God’s glory.

For my role as Discipleship Coordinator - Please be praying for me as I see each and every camper and counselor in person, and disciple all summer long. It’s a huge responsibility that I need God’s heart and energy to flow through me.

The CB Needs - Resources and friends that partner throughout the year make this 24-acre Camp the ultimate setting for campers to encounter God!

My Needs - Continued partnership as Go provides friends to help meet my monthly living expenses.
