Hey everyone! I am so excited to share this new blog with you.
2023
A rewarding year so far, I am really looking forward to what's to come! Before I get into all of it, let me rewind…
I ended 2022 feeling strong and I had a really good year filled with so many encouraging moments in ministry, mission life and my personal life. My role as the Discipleship Coordinator always has me connecting and counseling Bahamian campers as they pursue Christ for themselves. I got to make new friends and ministry partners seeing CB ending 2022 with some fantastic retreats. Our facilities were prepped for a full 2023 calendar!
STATESIDE
Seeing many Camp friends and partnering churches in the states was a big highlight. I traveled up and down the east coast from Florida to Virginia. I get to sit down face to face with many of you and answer questions and share the stories of God working in the lives of Bahamians through this ministry. I jumped at the opportunity to also attend the Passion Conference for college-age students in Atlanta Georgia. It was a life changing 3 days of teaching, worship, and growing in my faith. I landed in Eleuthera physically and spiritually refreshed and ready to run the race another year! *Pictures below!
I am so grateful for this job that I have with Camp Bahamas. I believe that you get to choose your attitude, to live your best life in the good and the hard times in life. I am walking another year the same way I did my last, fully walking in the calling over my life to serve the teenagers in this country. Sharing the day to day of ministry and missions with you while being prayed for and supported is one of the reasons my faith keeps growing. I am thankful for every single one of you!
WINTER
Winter in this country has brought back to back mission teams from all over the USA (Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, & Tennessee to name a few) . I have met some of the greatest people, and been eager to share the stories of God working in the lives of Bahamians at CB. A big thank you to the families, schools and churches who have helped make this ministry BETTER as we share the Gospel.
Prayer Challenge
1. The CB Team - Vision for Summer 23, with the wisdom, strength and integrity to do everything with excellence for God’s glory.
2. Our Campers and Counselors - All the pressures of life are felt in this country too, while resources and solutions are harder to come by. Our incredible Bahamian campers and counselors need constant reminder that Jesus is the solution and will meet their needs at school, at home, and in their communities.
3. The CB Needs - Resources and friends that partner throughout the year make this 24-acre Camp the ultimate setting for campers to encounter God!
4. For my role as Discipleship Coordinator - boldness, and wisdom as I seek to help others grow in their faith.
5. My Needs: Friends to help sustain my living expenses as I live completely off mission support.
CB is Non-Profit and staff is missionary supported. Here is a helpful giving link for those called to fill that need as I am missionary supported https://give.cornerstone.cc/campbahamas
