Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I am so excited for what 2020 has in store as I move forward with focus on all the people, projects and planning that make up my role at Camp Bahamas! There was no better way for me to spend New Year’s than at CB EXIT, our yearly holiday camp! We had a camp full of Bahamian campers and counselors pausing to refuel spiritually for the spring semester. Much of my fall is spent preparing and planning all the many details to make this event the best opportunity for a Bahamian teenager. From activities, to cabin time, to worship, to nightly rallies, it was incredible to experience God’s presence in everything that took place!
Hurricane Dorian
As the world knows, the Bahamas experienced a powerful Category 5 Hurricane in September. This devastated much of Abaco and Grand Bahama, affecting many campers and their families! It has been an on-going desire to be an encouragement and support for these campers. Thank you to so many of you that have made it a goal to pray, give and serve because of the Hurricane. Thank you for asking me often how they are doing, and for seeking ways to help!
The Best Is Yet To Come
With 2020 Vision, I know what is ahead is not mine, it is all Gods. I don’t want to miss anything. The new relationships I’ve made through mission teams and my on-going relationship with Bahamian campers and counselors have made my life so full! There were highs and lows in 2019, but the message that I know on a deeper level now is that God is faithful and with me through it all. I believe this year God will continue to give me the vision of a life committed to missions and ministry for my country in a greater way. This year will be the best summer camp, the best of missions, the best of friendship, and the BEST of this journey that I get to call my life. I am so excited! The Best Is Yet To Come! See ya soon!
